Fire Information

We are discontinuing our updates on this page as things start to wrap up. We will preserve this page for reference. Please check with the official sources for the latest information.

Please stay away from the area! The Unified Fire Authority is having a hard time keeping up with what is going on, and they don't have time to deal with the curious public. Don't become part of the problem.

Over a thousand homes are under mandatory evacuation in Herriman. Four homes have burned. Unconfirmed reports say these homes have been totally destroyed.

Best we can tell it is being called the "Machine Gun Fire" because the fire started during a training exercise by the US military on a machine gun range. Aprox. 10,000 acres or more burning.
