DMR (on Motorola systems is known as MotoTRBO) is increasing in popularity and usage in Utah. Many commercial systems are switching to this digital mode.
DMR is a digital voice mode being adopted by amateur radio operators as well. There is a Utah DMR group that meets regularly and is actively putting up repeaters and DMR infrastructure in Utah. Their website can be found at: Utah DMR.
